The City of Iowa City vacuums leaf piles from the curb, zone by zone, usually from mid-October into late November. The city hasn't announced its 2026 dates yet. It posts the zone schedule daily on its leaf vacuum page once pickup starts.
For reference, the 2025 season ran Oct. 20 – Nov. 26. It started with Zones 6 & 7, then went to Zone 1 and continued in order.
